International Police Association

The International Police Association was formed in 1980 to promote friendship amongst police officers nationally and internationally on a properly organised basis.

Servo per Amikeco, an Esperanto term which means "Service through Friendship" is the adopted motto of the Association.

The Association is entirely non-political and there is no discrimination of race, creed, religion or sex.

The South African Section consists of 19 regions. This section was founded in 1982 and the Witwatersrand Region, now known as Johannesburg Region, in 1983.

There are several residential guest houses throughout the country where visiting members may stay at very reasonable rates. The Johannesburg facility, called "eGoli House" was opened in 1992. Egoli is the Africanised name for Gold.
