Pan & Tilt Mechanism for Zoom Pinhole Lenses

This unique motorized pan and tilt mechanism is specially designed by Marshall Electronics for its line of zoom pinhole lenses. It pans from left to right at an approximately 120 degree angle. You canm focus your camera to different angles by panning and tilting, and zooming in and out to a particular subject at 4mm to 20mm range (V-ZPL06MZ), or 10mm to 50mm range (V-ZPL1050MZ).

The V-ZPT2 has two-way pan (horizontal) and the V-ZPT4 has four-way pan and tilt (horizontal and vertical).

The package includes a pinhole guide. It is a mock-up pinhole lens, and it will help you to determine and position the size of pinhole that you are going to install on your wall. The tip of the pinhole guide represents the size of the light beam that passes through your pinhole lens. To use the pinhole guide:
  1. Affix pinhole guide properly to the mechanism and tighten set screw into place.
  2. Using pinhole guide as a reference, make a cone shape hole on the wall. Recommended size of the outside hole is 0.1".
  3. After making the pinhole, unscrew the pinhole guide from the mechanism and affix your zoom pinhole lens and tighten set screw into place.

Measuring only 0.31" in diameter, the V-LPL can be hidden behind walls or ceilings for covert applications. Using the most advanced optical design, the tube of the pinhole lens contains several lenses to provide clear images. The V-LPL8 and V-LPL5 can be used on 1/3" CCD B&W cameras where they can provide an 81° angle of view at a focal length of 4.4mm.
