Surlec Line Analiser
Model TEL-AN1 is an amplifier designed specifically for the detection of concealed microphones and telephone bypass (hookswitch defeat) techniques. The unit is powered by a 9 volt battery (type MN1604). It is a small, compact device that fits comfortably in a shirt or jacket pocket.
Modes of Operation:
- Dynamic microphone check
- Electret and carbon microphone check
- Telephone instrument check
In these three modes, the TEL-AN1 is used to detect audio through concealed microphones or modified telephones. The fourth operating mode is used to generate a tone from the TEL-AN1 on a suspected wire pair, which will be heard through a microphone or speaker on the line.
