In/Out interface (IEEE 1394) provides a high- speed,
bi-directional digital link between camcorders, a camcorder and
an editing deck, or a camcorder and a computer with i.Link
capability. You can transfer data digitally, then edit it
multiple times with virtually no deterioration of picture. and

Hi8/8mm Playback
The GV-D800 and GV-D200 come with analog input so you can convert
your current 8mm or VHS-C tapes to the Digital 8 format for
editing and archiving. Digital 8's recording pattern allows
digital recording on affordable 8mm or Hi8 tapes-the most popular
camcorder format in the US. This compatibility enables Digital 8
Handycam camcorder owners to enjoy continued playback of their
analog 8mm or Hi8 tapes. Digital 8 is the evolution of the 8mm
format, and is the only digital camcorder format that lets you
fast forward to digital quality without leaving your analog past
behind.

clarity and accuracy you've become accustomed to from compact
discs.
The unparalleled sound of DV Audio results from: Pulse Code
Modulation, similar to CD technology, offering a choice of either
two
12bit stereo tracks, for near CD sound quality, or one 16bit
stereo track for DAT quality recording and a dynamic range of
more than 96dB.
Audio Dubbing (12 Bit Mode)
Utilizes the 12bit PCM record mode to add, in post production, an
additional high quality, stereo soundtrack. You can add music or
narration to your videos without affecting your original
soundtrack.
i.LINK™ Digital Video Interface In/Out (IEEE
1394)
Edits between two digital camcorders or a camcorder and a deck
with virtually no generation loss. The i.LINK interface allows
for direct communication between your DV Handycam camcorder and
your PC, with optional DV capture card.
Super LaserLink™ Wireless Connection with TV
Control
Provides wireless connection from your DV Video Walkman to your
TV up to 26 feet away (requires optional IFT-R20 receiver). TV
Control powers on your Sony TV and switches to the correct input,
