- Video encryption system uses line 'cut and
rotate' encoding to provide secure encryption of
colour/monochrome baseband video signals with a high level of
image obscurity and decoded image quality.
- Is optimised for use with radio/microwave link equipment in
surveillance and security applications. It provides near
instantaneous lock-in/decoding, and is hardened against link
distortions and disruption. It provides reliable, secure
operation and a high quality video image in the most demanding of
conditions.
- Automatically detects PAL/SECAM or NTSC video and configures
itself accordingly, maintaining a fully compatible signal for
operation over any video distribution medium. It provides an
automatic gain function that compensates for link signal level
variation, maintaining image quality.
- Uses a secure over air data channel in the vertical blanking
interval to provide system status, telemetry and synchronisation
information. The encryption systems prevent analysis of the
coding sequences by analysis of the video signal or the over air
data. Only authorised decoders having the same key sets as the
encoder can decipher the scrambled video.
- Allows a 256bit user key to be programmed by an IBM-PC serial
interface. 8-bits of user key can be set on DIP switches. The
primary security keys and the encryption chip-set cannot be read
or copied.
- Provides video loop-through during power loss and the decoder
will go into clear mode if it detects that the video is not a
valid encrypted signal. This ensures that the video feed is never
disrupted by power loss or other failures. The decoder provides
optional indication of correct operation with a small on-screen
flashing square.
- Provides 8 bits of status lines/telemetry signals available on
an optional D-type connector. Any input to the encoder is
mirrored in the decoder. Encoder and decoder units are identical
having a single switch to identify the function, potentially
simplifying procurement, installation and servicing.
- Provides an on screen display option to display decoder status,
system ID, time and date and telemetry status. All text is user
definable and may be set via the RS232 interface.
- Is compact, rugged and has low power consumption. It operates
under a wide supply voltage, is IP65 environmentally sealed, EMC
compliant and operates in an extended temperature range.
